| Press Release: |
Brock Easterbrook, a well known actor/stuntperformer in TV and Film in Vancouver and Los Angeles in the 90's had always wanted to follow a childhood dream and become a singer. In March of 2009, he took the first step and began recording an album in his birth place, Hamilton, Ontario. This selection is the first original song to be included on that album, which will be out later in the fall 2009
This single song selection, which has a distinct Americana flavor with a Country Rockabilly feel, is titled “When our idol was the King” and it takes us back to a time when we didn’t need to be told by someone else who we "idolized" or made to cast our vote for our favorite singer after hearing them perform once or twice. Specifically, it is a song about the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, but it also could apply to many other singers and performers from the past who came up through the ranks the old fashion way.
Brock wrote the song's lyrics and the music was co-written by Bob Doidge and Amy King of Grant Avenue Studios in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Brock now is in the process of recording his first album with a cross selection of original country music, easy listening and rarer cover songs. We hope you enjoy this first offering of “When our idol was the King” available exclusively only as a digital download through itunes, Amazon, or CD Baby. |
