I. Spring Cleaning

Beginning next month, MusicSUBMIT will be instituting a new policy
regarding Music Reviewer  Folders .

As you know, Accepted Artists and Rejected Artists sit in your corresponding folders indefinitely, or until you move the artists to Rejected and click “Delete Forever” button.

Over the many months and years MusicSUBMIT has been sending indie
artists to your queue, many Reviewers have amassed a large number of
artists in the folders.  And since we began adding thumbnail pics for
artists in 2008, these folders have become bulky and unmanageable.

So, in order to keep the pages opening quickly and smoothly, we’re
going to implement  the following new “fall-off” periods for each
folder:

  • Accepted Folder – 9 months
(artists will removed automatically 9 months after the Date of Submission)

  • Rejected Folder – 3 months
(artists will removed automatically 3 months after the Date of Submission)

  • The New Artists for Review folder will remain at 60 days (2 months) before artists will drop out of the folder.

Let us know if you have any special circumstances in which you’d like
to keep artists for longer periods – contact support@musicsubmit.com

II. The State of Radio

Well, the big news in the radio world this season has been the
impending doom of satellite radio monopoly Sirius/XM.  After an
analyst predicted the company’s stock could go to zero - as in finished
- a white knight in Liberty Media swooped in at the 11th hour and
staved off a bankruptcy filing.

Is the end near anyway?

Woe of Tyrants

From a metal-breeding nowhereville town called Chillicothe, Ohio,
we’ve got Woe of Tyrants, recently signed to Metal Blade and releasing
the spine-cracking album “Kingdom of Might”
