| Bio: |
The Hei$t is more than just a band. It is an experience where the listener's inhibitions are Hei$ted by the sound. We hope the experience of listening to our songs will take away the negative energy that can cause the soul to internally combust. We are a group of musicians who reside in the valleys and hills once roamed by Pretty Boy Floyd the legendary Hei$ter known as the Robinhood of the Wrath Lands. Our ancestors most likely moved across the state lines into Indian Territory to escape prosecution at the hands of Judge Parker, who was known as the hanging judge.
When you are Hei$ted, you will sense that you have been cleansed in a way that will rob you of the bad Karma that pollutes the soul. The original sounds of The Hei$t are the result of the collaborative effort of the three of us, and our signature harmony vocals create a fullness that is unusually thick for a three piece band. Jeff "Chainsaw" Edwards on Drums and Vocals ; Steve "Mad Dog" Young on Guitar and Vocals; Rob "Robinhood" Fuller on Bass Guitar and Vocals are three friends that create a "flow" of positive energy when put together in a room with instruments and/or a frothy brew. Big News - The Hei$t has released its new CD Get Hei$ted! It is being distributed by CD Baby, and will be available on-line and at various retail outlets.
This work has been described as an eclectic mix of high energy and melodic songs with interesting harmonies and multiple vocal parts. The three peice band is from the Cookson Hills of Oklahoma, which were home to Pretty Boy Floyd, the legendary gangster that was known as the robinhood of the wrathlands, because he gave much of his loot to the poor folks in the region. The reference to the wrathlands comes from the John Steinbeck Book the Grapes of wrath, which was also written about the area producing these musicians. The band has stated "we are the ancestors of those who went to Indian Territory to escape prosecution by the legendary hanging Judge Parker." The raw edge to their sound is remninescent of other bands with humble beginnings such as Thin Lizzy and The Clash.
The original sounds of The Hei$t come in large part to the three part harmonies and multiple vocal parts that create an interesting blend that is absent in many bands these days.
This critically acclaimed work has rocketed up the charts in various parts of the world. Get your copy before they are all gone. To purchase - go to http://cdbaby.com/cd/theheist. |
