From non-existence to 40% music sales market share in little over a decade, the Online Retail sector clearly has made the furthest stride up the influence chain (and our poll) of the music biz thusfar.  Of course, the other 60% of recorded music sales are from CDs, and most of that from Big Box Retail.  But given the rate at which Online Retail has gained on Big Box, it's all but inevitable... Radio was once the new, disruptive technology that was perceived as a threat to end the record business.    It took awhile, but somehow record companies and FM radio stations learned to live together...
