Fact: The more webpages your site has,
the more visitors you'll get from the search engines (continued)
Putting it into practice...
Take a look at your website...could many "single
pages" be broken up into multiple pages? Let's look at your
gig calendar for example. Are all your gigs on one page? or you
have you created a quick summary page that lists all your gigs and
provides a link to another page that has more detail for each gig?
Are you deleting past gigs pages? or are you keeping them archived
to serve as a history of your band as well as a page rank booster?
What about your lyrics? Is there a page for each song?
What about all of your press? Your press releases?
You could even keep an online journal and write about all the
happennings of your group. Not only will these things directly
increase your traffic, but your fans will love how cool and interesting
your site is.. after all you've filled it with lots of content
about you!!
Try to make sure each page has about 50 to 200 words
and try to create and add at least one page a day if you can. At
first each page may only bring you a few visitors a month, or hopefully
even more. But as you continue to add pages and increase your page
rank...each page will (both past and present) start bringing in
more and more traffic. Pretty soon every new page might bring you
"50" new visitors a month, "100" new visitors
a month, even more!
Well...what are you waiting for?? You've got pages
to create!!
