How to use Myspace to Promote your Music
on the Internet
Part
1 (continued)
1- Start Local
It’s best to spend your time reaching out to people
nearby. Locals can come to your live shows and spread the word
to other locals, who can also come to your live shows, and
so on (and don't forget local fans add revenue to your wallet when they pay the cover at your show).
Also you’ll appear in your friends friend lists
so if your friends are local other locals can find you more easily.
And last
but not least, the fact that you are local is more interesting
to a potential friend. Yes they may add a band from the other
side of the country, but it’s a lot more exciting to
find a great local artist rather than a great artist over 1,000
miles away.
