Google Tool Bar- "Know your page rank!"

Page rank indicator-

One of the best things about the google tool bar (other than the fact that it allows you to search google quickly and easily) is the page rank indicator it provides. Being able to determine a sites page rank is important for two reasons:

1- If you can monitor your progress in terms of page rank you can see how effective your SEO efforts are. If you make a change to your strategy and your page rank goes up you know to keep doing what you are doing, and visa versa.

2- Perhaps even more importantly page rank tells you the value of any site you are visiting. If you trade links with sites that are considered valuable (sites that have a high page rank) then google will consider you more valuable. Getting your site listed on other sites with high page rank is a sure way to go up in the search engines.

After you download the tool bar you'll see a little (green or white) bar in the middle. Over the bar are the words "page rank". Move your mouse over this bar and some text will pop up telling you the page rank of the site you are looking at, be it your own site or someone else's.
